SELFLow self-esteem is a thinking disorder in which an individual views him/herself as inadequate, unlovable, and/or incompetent. Once formed, this negative view permeates every thought, producing faulty assumptions and ongoing self-defeating behavior (Neuman, 2014). We work to help children and youth think critically about image, empowerment and societal norms. Our lessons challenge these norms and strategically work to improve children and youths' self-esteem and self-worth, combating a pervasive issue affecting our children today. The better equipped Club Members are in seeing beautiful in themselves, the easier it is to see beautiful in others..

OTHERSEngaging children and youth to see beautiful in others eliminates the space for bullying and increases opportunity for increased self-worth and self-esteem. As children in our See Beautiful Clubs lift each other up and grow more understanding about how to empower and inspire their peers and others in their community they eliminate space for negativity and judgement and increase a lifestyle reflecting community, understanding and collaboration. The effects of seeing beautiful in others are long-lasting and life-changing, since it can significantly increase other children's self-esteem and self-value. The more our Club members see beautiful in themselves and others, the easier it is to create more beautiful in the world.

WORLDCreating more beautiful in the world through service helps young children and youth better understand
humanity and humanitarian issues. This helps grows empathy and fosters identity as engaged citizens, See Beautiful Club members learn how to make service and giving a way of life. The benefits of children engaged in service learning is widespread and widely documented. We are proud to engage children in creating more beautiful in the world, while also building their self-esteem and self-worth. A triadic combination of self, others, and the world that is fostered strategically in our Club meetings. |
